Delivery Driver-Merchandiser

Choice Books is looking for a person with a heart for placing wholesome, inspirational books in everyday shopping places.  This person would be responsible to deliver books to the store displays and to keep the displays clean, stocked, and well-merchandised.  It also requires developing a good rapport with store personnel.  Some travel is required, about 2 to 3 days a month.

Compensation: $21 - $22.25 hourly

Essential Responsibilities Include:

• Delivery of books to stores following a route schedule
• Building and maintaining a good rapport with store managers and receivers
• Merchandising books on displays
• Maintaining displays i.e. cleaning, making repairs, or replacing, etc.
• Complete truck maintenane according to company policy
• Safe driving habits

Qualifications:

• Have a good work ethic and team spirit
• Connection with the faith-based aspect of the organization
• A valid driver's license (CDL not required) with a good record
• Capable of lifting 35-50 lbs. regularly
• Capable of bending, stooping, crouching, pushing, pulling, climbing steps, stools and ladders, and stepping in and out of the back of truck, standing and walking long periods, and driving long periods to perform work
• Ability to communicate and relate to others in a professional manor
• Ability to start early in the morning
• Requires some travel 2-3 days a month
